Is Nip + Fab (Kylie Jenner’s Favourite) Worth The Hype?

Having only used expensive cosmeceutical-grade glycolic products before, I had some initial reservations about putting Nip + Fab on my skin. However, I had been looking to reintroduce an acid based exfoliator into my regime, so when the opportunity came to trial Kylie Jenner’s go-to beauty boosters for myself – I couldn’t resist. Read on for the verdict…

The products I tested were the Glycolic Fix Cleanser ($17.95 for 150ml), the Glycolic Fix Wipes ($29.95 for 60 wipes) and the Glycolic Fix Serum ($32.95 for 30ml).

I started using them as I would introduce any active skincare – every second day for a week before moving to daily, to test out my skin’s reaction to the ingredients.  There was some minor stinging on my sensitive mid facial spots (as would be expected with the introduction of any alpha-hydroxy-acid), but it quickly resolved and I didn’t experience any visual side effects.

THE LATEST BEAUTY MUST HAVE!

The cleanser has a soft, mild finish without leaving the usual awfully dry feeling of a cheap cleanser.  The consistency of the Glycolic Fix Serum is definitely more of a gel rather than a traditional viscous ‘serum’, which should absorb deep into the skin.  The product sits on top of the skin, feels quite tacky and took many hours to absorb.  It also has a noticeable chemical perfume as do the Glycolic Fix Wipes.

On the plus side, the results were very satisfying.  I could feel and see a smoother and more luminous complexion within only two days of use.  After about ten days it also successfully faded areas of pigmentation from recent hormonal spots from my lower face.

For my younger skin type, I don’t necessarily need all three products to get a good glycolic fix.  I quickly reduced my use of the serum to twice a week.  Apart from the smell and feel on the skin, the results are almost as good as I achieved with a product worth five times the price.

WRINKLE ATTACK! WE REVIEW SKINCEUTICALS, STRIVECTIN & DERMALOGICA

I would definitely recommend this product as a cost effective option to smoothing and exfoliating the skin.  I especially love the wipes, which were a handy way to leave the face refreshed and smooth while travelling over my summer break.

My rating: 7/10

60 wipes! Think they would dry out before getting to the end of the pack!

Never heard of this brand but that seems like a viable alternative for me, and quite cheap really! Where do you buy it from?
