8 New Beauty Loves

BY: VANESSA ROBERTS

I’ve had a rush of beauty products cross my path this past week that have caused me to become virtually instantly addicted to them!

…….So what are these things?

1. VS Sassoon Diamond Waves Spiral Waver.

Where has this been all my life!? As I’m literally always looking for ways to make growing out my short hairstyle a little bit more palatable, the past couple of seasons have been all about the pursuit of the effortless wave for me.

If you’re a bit over the GHD then you’ll want to rush out and buy one of these new spiral curlers by VS Sassoon ASAP.

There is ZERO skill required to use this “barrelled waver”, and no matter what you do with it you end up with the right type of casual wave.

It has adjustable heat settings (tick!) and little grooves along the barrel to help guide the hair along. You can be as perfect or imperfect as you like with it.

I love this product! (Official release 1st October $59.95)

2. CROP Natural Mineral Pressed Blush

I was very surprised by how much I liked this blush (available online and at Coles). Crop’s products are 95% naturally-derived and contain essential oils.

This blush (shade: bouquet) is perfect for a natural looking “flush”. No glitter, sparkles or anything too shiny, it’s a great natural-looking “wash of life” that’s perfect for every day wear.

You really can’t go wrong with it.

3. Rosehip Plus Organic Daily Cream Cleanser

This cleanser only arrived on my desk two days ago and already I am taking showers for no reason just so I can use it.

A gorgeously rose-scented cleanser that makes your skin feel amazing during the wash – and after. Contains Rosehip Oil, Jojoba and Sea-Buckhorn. 88% certified organic!

4. Pana Chocolate – ROSE

(Ok so chocolate isn’t technically a “beauty product” but it makes you feel better and so that’s the same thing.)

Another rose-influenced love came by way of this 45g bar of pure raw, organic, handmade HEAVEN! Everyone has been raving about Pana chocolate and now I finally know why.

P.S the packet in the photo is empty. Oops.

5. Lulu & Lipstick Contour Brush

This brush comes as part of Lulu & Lipstick’s travel brush kit, and it’s beyond soft and beautiful to use. It blends effortlessly and feels lovely on the face.

Even though it’s technically for ‘kontouring’ I’ve been using this with the CROP blush as a regular ol’ blush brush and the sky has not fallen in.

6. Ivadore ‘Love-Overcome and Conquer-Oil’ Treatment

I’m loving all kinds of body and face oils at the moment, and this deluxe oil treatment by Australian brand Ivadore is becoming a favourite. As it’s a face oil, it’s a light oil, and it absorbs quickly into the skin to revive and hydrate. I love the fresh natural scent.

To combat the dryness from the high winds we’ve been having, I’ve been rubbing some of the oil between my fingers then dabbing it onto areas of the face (over makeup) throughout the day.

It’s also a treat before bed. Available at IVADORE, $58.

7. Mary Kay Eyeliner in BLACK

Why is it always so hard to find a REALLY black eyeliner? I’ve bought black eyeliners that throw off green tones, are too transparent or are too dry to apply.

The ‘MK Black’ by Mary Kay is the blackest and smudgiest I’ve seen and completely perfect for the intense kohl-rimmed eye look.

Better yet, it comes in a fine, retractable pen-style, meaning you don’t need to sharpen, and there is no wastage.

8. Clinique Chubby Stick

Highlight to your heart’s content with this universally-flattering illuminator by Clinique. This thick pencil-style highlighter is foolproof and provides a natural dewy glow in 2 seconds flat.

You can go to town on those cheekbones as the formulation blends seamlessly, and has no build up.

Like to run a thin line down the bridge of the nose, or on the cupids bow….? The Clinique chubby lets you get away with it.

Chocolate wouldn’t last long near me, either.

Travel size makeup brush kits are the one i am loving lately. Those cuties are really handy and very useful when travelling.
