I thought I’d share with you some of the items I’m loving so far this Spring! I’d love to hear of your own Spring-time must-haves, so please share your faves in the comments below!
1. Solar D Sunscreen
We all know how great it feels to get out into the sun – especially in Spring! However, did you know that 1 in 3 Australians are now Vitamin D deficient through decades of careful sun-safe behaviour? Enter Solar D, who’s breakthrough technology is a world first. With patented technology, Solar D not only screens harmful melanoma-causing UV rays and fights the ageing process with broad spectrum SPF30+ and SPF50+, but more importantly it permits the passage of important vitamin D through to the skin.
I was lucky enough to attend the launch of this product last week, attended by ambassadors Renae Ayris and Jules Sebastian at O Bar & Dining in Sydney. There is a major amount of science and research behind this Australian-made and owned product which is bound to be a game-changer. Please check it out when you see it on shelves later this month! Available at all major retailers, including Priceline.
2. Elle Macpherson’s Super Elixr
Launched earlier this year, Elle’s ‘The Super Elixr’ is a potent green powder consisting of 45 ingredients including alkalising super greens, Chinese herbs, and Miatake mushrooms. It can be sprinkled over salads or mixed into juices and smoothies. Skeptical at first, I am now seeing the benefits after making a point of taking this supplement daily. My preference is to simply shake a heaped teaspoon through a jar of water and gulp it down when I need an instant pick-me-up.
Whilst this drink is not as good looking as it’s founder Elle, it is pleasant tasting (slightly sweet) and easy enough to get through the whole serve. I indeed feel instantly revived afterward – the pep up is more like taking a vitamin tablet than downing a coffee. My skin is looking brighter and clearer. The cannister presentation is amazing – it’s one supplement you won’t mind doubling as a decoration.
3. Eve Of Eden Maternity Wear
My lovely cousin is pregnant (!!!) and like many mums-to-be, the transition from wearing regular clothes into designated maternity wear was one fraught with frustration. Lamenting that yes, her body is undergoing massive changes but her taste and style was just the same, she struggled to find comfortable yet stylish maternity wear that wasn’t going to cost a fortune.
I enlisted to help, and thankfully came upon e-tailer Eve of Eden that sells maternity versions of on-trend regular clothing you’d be thrilled to wear normally. Stocking everything a stylish mum-to-be will need, including dresses, tops, jeans, swimwear, evening wear, bras and belly bands. The brand features ranges of stylish neutrals and ocean-inspired blues and greens which are designed to seamlessly mix and match.
4. Lime Ricki ‘Princess Rose’ One-Piece Swimsuit
I’m a big fan of the one-piece swimsuit, (or maillot if you will) and I’m glad they are returning to fashion! Much more ladylike and flattering than most bikinis, one pieces have a glamourous “resort look” and generally reduce tan lines.
This one piece by Lime Ricki ticks a lot of boxes for me, I LOVE the cut, the fun pin-up style of bold floral and polka dot, the supportive straps, and supportive cup. The waist band adds definition and shape. Not that I’m laying on the beach of a sun lounger just yet, but this little number arrived last week and I can happily report it fits like a dream! The suit is sleek and well-cut, offers ample support and (remarkably) is priced at around $50. (You can check out where I got it here.)
5. Makeup Store LED Glitter Gloss
I have way too many lipglosses to mention, however I am going to mention this one because I absolutely LOVE it!!! One part pretty, one part disco, this gloss suits my schizophrenic beauty tastes to a tee. Featuring a super high-shine and addictive sweet smell, this dark pink/cherry hue is packed with fine glitter particles and can be worn alone or over the top of a lipstick.
A relatively buildable colour, a light application looks feminine and girly, whereas a heavier application will make you wish Studio 54 never closed. The LED light is very bright, obviously helpful for application at the discoteque!
6. Sisley Energising Foaming Exfoliant
I was amazed by the effectiveness of this product – IT ACTUALLY WORKS! Ok, I didn’t realise it was a body exfoliator and I used it on my face, but nothing bad happened and I ended up with the cleanest-feeling, smoothest, freshest face I have felt in a looooonnnngggg time.
This exfoliator combines a great density of particles with a foaming cleaner base. This makes ALL the difference. I hate those exfoliators that are too creamy and you need a telescope to locate any of the particles. They just don’t work. This one does. I only received a sample size of this product, devastatingly the full sized is somewhere around $100… An excellent product though, BRAVO Sisley!
7. Sistine Chapel Candle by Glasshouse
An unusual reference for home fragrance (the Sistine Chapel), this mystically-inspired candle has a sophisticated scent, that features Raspberry, Sage, Oakmoss, Jasmine and Patchouli Vanilla, Cinnamon, Musk and Amber. Sort of Christmassy, the Sistine Chapel candle is potent and the smell really lingers. This scent is refreshing and somewhat intoxicating, perfect for evening use and mood-setting.
8. SKYY Vodka
Last but not least, you can’t go past this iconic vodka for festivities throughout spring time and beyond. An affordably priced vodka, that’s smooth and very drinkable in any martini or summertime cocktail concoction. (For my story on how to make a vodka infusion, click here.) Superficial I know, but I love the bottle also! It simply doesn’t date, and makes me think “New York!” Available everywhere for around $35.

I love the tropical fruits which are in the shops at this time of year, such as aromatic mangoes and juicy cherries, just in time for the festive season!
Great idea for sunscreen to let the D in! About time!
That swimsuit is divine!
I’ve been using Circa which is made by glass house, I’ve got them spread around the house and light them every single day. The scent throw is just amazing.
