Whether you’re an experienced crypto trader or a complete novice, the world en masse has heard of cryptocurrency, and it’s most famous example, Bitcoin. In a short space of time, cryptocurrency has managed to become one of the most famous investments of all time.

While bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are known to be highly volatile investments, there are many people out there who have full faith in their long term success and adoption on a world wide scale. These people may be traders, they may be developing adjacent technologies such as blockchain, or they may even be the brains behind a crypto-centric app.

So while it’s easy to think of “cryptocurrency” and only picture it being traded by men hunched over laptops, in fact, there’s a lot more to cryptocurrency than just Bitcoin Trading itself.

And thankfully, that male-dominated impression isn’t actually warranted either! Nowadays, women have not only developed a keen interest in cryptocurrency, they are making fortunes out of it, as successfully as men. Not only are women successfully trading Bitcoin, they are building entire companies designed around cryptocurrency in general.

#1 – Kathleen Breitman

Kathleen Breitman is the Co-founder and CEO of Tezos, a blockchain-based smart contract platform. Responsible for the development of most of the company’s protocol, Kathleen was also behind the process of raising investment capital for her company. Expecting to raise around 10% of the price of the Tezos project, she managed to bring in 230 million dollars instead!

Always dreaming of being an entrepreneur, Kathleen quit her job as a senior strategy associate for R3, a blockchain consortium of more than 70 financial firms, to pursue her dream. Meltem Demirors is an advocate of cryptocurrency revolution. She is passionate about crypto-trading and is a popular face at many roundtable conferences and international meetings on cryptocurrency. Before attending various debates sessions, she was the VP of development at Digital Currency Group, a venture capital company she helped launch that invests exclusively in cryptocurrency and blockchain projects.

For those already in the cryptocurrency world, Elizabeth does not need any introduction; she is the owner of the world’s most famous cryptocurrency payment platform, Bitpesa.
