Where Will H&M Open Next?!

Look out Myer and David Jones; a new major contender has arrived in town! It may be perceived as a threat to local retailers, but all you Brisbane shopaholics will be celebrating!

H&M is launching its first Brisbane store in March at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. A second store opening later this year at Brisbane’s CBD is just the icing on the cake!

Despite its affordable commercial fashion, the label has featured many supermodels in its campaigns over the years from Gisele Bundchen, Carmen Kass and Miranda Kerr to Cara Delevingne. H&M has had a lot of guest-designer collaborations too – most notably Alexander Wang and Jimmy Choo. Alexander Wang’s recent campaign for H&M features supermodels such as Isabeli Fontana and Raquel Zimmermann.

We see celebrities loving H&M pieces, from Taylor Swift and Bella Thorne to Cher Lloyd. Taylor Swift has been spotted strutting H&M clothing many times, such as a H&M Wool Blend Coat to a H&M Patterned Organza Blouse.

ANOTHER RETAILING CRAZE – $12 JEANS ANYONE?

For one of their current collections it’s all about monochrome. This trendy minimalistic look is accompanied by the video ‘H&M presents “Killers” featuring Seal, exclusive remix by Le Youth’. This on-trend campaign features footage of dancers in all black everything, and models showcasing simplistic yet chic outfits. These include a long, straight-cut jacket in woven fabric, leather gloves with decorative braiding and a chiffon dress with narrow shoulder straps and high slits at the sides.

This Swedish powerhouse first arrived on our shores in Melbourne earlier last year. Sydneysiders had to wait a littler longer to experience the label, with H&M opening its doors to shoppers in Macquarie Centre, last October. Proving its fashion domination, another three-level H&M store will open in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall in late 2015.
