Outfit Post: On Duty

I have recently become a fan of lesser-known designer, Khoon Hooi. Hailing from Malaysia, Khoon Hooi’s designs are strong yet feminine.

Almost impossible to categorise due to their uniqueness, Khoon Hooi favours modest shapes, heavier fabrics, strong silhouettes and eye-catching details. I am increasingly drawing to Hooi’s pieces whenever I want to wear something bold and unusual (which is pretty much always!)

In this outfit, I appropriated what was originally a jacket by wearing it a dress. The bold diagonal gold zipper cause me to go a little c-r-a-z-y with the black+gold theme, but seeing as these are my favourite colours (black IS a colour right?) I just went with it!

I also particularly love the little gold spear/arrow on each cuff (you’ll see it in picture #3). Cute don’t you think?
