Christmas has only just passed, but here I am shopping frantically for my New Years Eve outfit. Sigh.
This year my best friend is having an Old Hollywood themed bash, so the work has largely been taken out of my outfit choices, but for the greater good, I have put together my shopping guide for some of my favourite outfit choices, which is the key to making a splash when you are ringing in the new year.
What girl doesn’t want jaws to drop and the doting jealously of your girlfriends? If you have that special someone, here’s your chance to take their breath away- or if you are looking for someone to share that countdown kiss with, what better way to command their attention!
There are still some online stores making last minute deliveries today, never fear!

Sparkle, Sparkle
Perhaps the most traditional route to New Years Eve outfits, a touch of sparkle is a fun way to celebrate the new year. I suggest toned down accessories with a sequinned look to avoid looking like a walking, talking disco ball. Unless of course, that is what you are aiming for!

Bold Brights
Bold colours are always fun, but the important tip to remember here is to pick a colour that suits you. Forget what’s in fashion, if the hue washes you out- then there’s no point in splashing out on a new frock. That said, don’t be afraid to try new colours, you never know what will work!

Sweeping Gowns
As I mentioned, this NYE is all about ball gowns and good looking men in suits. Which suits me just fine. Sometimes there is nothing better than a good excuse to wear a floor sweeping, dramatic gown, nothing wrong with feeling like a princess…the perfect vibes for the new year.

Contrary to popular belief, the Little White Dress isn’t necessarily the automatic 5 kilo addition. Find the right cut for you and team with statement jewellery and a killer pair of heels. Job done.

Black sequin mini dress all the way! 🙂
Love the Ladkha sequinned dress and what a buy for under $80. Looks stunning and young.
It goes to show that one doesn’t have to spend thousand to have that “million dollar” look. You can look amazing for a fraction of the cost.
