New Years to me is about good food, good wine and good friends to spend it with, to celebrate the year that was and to welcome what is to come with positive vibes and a winning smile.
That’s not to say however, that you can’t make that final countdown dressed to your nines and looking your absolute best!

The Elegant Bun
This has become a firm favourite in my arsenal of five minute, super chic hairstyles. For volume, you can go one of two ways; either you can tease a very high ponytail and then wrap and smooth into a bun with some bobby pins, or you can by a bun doughnut and pin your hair around that accordingly. I definitely suggest the bun doughnut if you are short on time or are not confident teasing your hair.
The Red Lip
The red lip is a bold statement, and is certainly not for everybody. If you want to be daring, or a little bit sexy…this one’s for you!
The Fresh Beachy Wave
I love this for a hot summers NYE night in Australia. Super simple and casually chic, team this with a bright coloured maxi dress and some embellished flats for a comfortable, stylish look.
The Old Hollywood Look
Can’t go wrong with a touch of Old Hollywood glam! ‘Nuff said.
The Dramatic Eye
With the right outfit a smoky, dramatic eye is one of my all time favourite looks. The trick is not to over do it, you don’t want to look like you have been socked in both eyes (yes, I speak from experience).
The Sleek Pony
If your outfit has a lot going on, sometimes it is best to tone down the hair and makeup. Depending on your head or faceshape, a high or low ponytail will work for you. Slick back tight and then let your hair give a little so the pony looks natural. Team this with a understated peach lip and minimal eye makeup and you are good to go!
