Product Review: Sukin Rosehip Oil Day Cream

This product was sent to us by the lovely team at Sukin.

As I get older (read, quarter life crisis this year) I care more and more about my skin. This is a far cry from my youthful days of nights out partying and flopping into bed with remnants of makeup still on.

These days I just can’t sleep if my routine isn’t spot on, and I have been totally thrilled to work Sukin’s Rosehip Hydrating Day Cream into my regimen. Gentle enough for all skin types, this is a beautiful moisturiser that uses a combination of rose hip oil and pomegranate to aid in fighting dry skin and preventing the signs of premature ageing. Kakadu plum, is also used which is naturally rich in Vitamin C, is the perfect ingredient to make sure your skin looks radiant.

Product:

The Day Cream is born out of the success of Sukin’s Rosehip Oil, which many use for skincare amongst other things. But using oil in your regime isn’t to everyone’s liking and for those people Sukin have come up with this beautiful Rose Hip Day Cream.

The texture is light and soft, and not at all like some day creams, which can come thick and leave a funny feeling residue. You could even use this in additon to the oil for super hydration if you have problem dry skin or love the oil as well.

I have used this Day Cream now for five days and am very happy with the results. This absorbs well and quickly so after you have cleansed in the morning and applied this, you can pretty quickly jump into getting your face on and out the door. Sometimes it feels like your foundation is sliding off when you use some day creams, but I haven’t found that with this one at all!

Other amazing products in this cream: Aloe, Sesame Seed Oil, Rose Hip Oil…obviously, Avocado Oil, Kakadu Plum Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Tangerine Peel Oil, Mandarin Orange Seed Oil, Lavender Oil, Vitamin E, and Vanilla Extract.

Packaging:

The packaging is gorgeous and very true to the Sukin Aesthetic.A beautiful box reveals a generous sized glass pot- very generous considering its super affordable price.

It’s a big, beautiful brown jar that feels luxe and looks great on your dresser without taking up too much room. There is nothing worse than a day cream which holds only a few dabs of cream in it or is an awkward shape to dip your fingers into.

Overall Verdict:

This is a great product, and would highly recommend it to anyone. I have even gone out of my way to buy and send one to my mumma! Its lightweight, yet feels like it is getting the job done and the perfect product to use under a foundation.

I have been using this for just under a week now so the verdict is still out, but thus far it has been helping with dry skin around the nose and mouth- which always happens to me when we come into winter!

I use the Sukin range in skin products and love them, I love the scents of the creams and oils, it makes my skin feel soft and supple. I so love the skin care range and was wondering if you would be adding make-up products to your range my sensitive skin would be ever so thankful for

I’ve been interested in Sukin for some time. Going to try them after I’m done with my current skin care products.
