This point is so important that it deserves it’s own entry on our list. The holy grail of looking polished is perfecting your nail game. However, nurturing your nails needn’t mean elaborate or expensive trips to a nail bar.

Simply file your nails to a uniform length, treat nail beds and cuticles with a nourishing nail conditioner or nail oil, and coat with a neutral polish.

Clear, light pink, beige or red are classy options for nails, just ensure you remove the polish and start again at the first signs of chipping.
