New York Fashion Week has come and gone (to find out what the top 3 trends from the week were click here) but the beauty looks it showcased are here to stay. Here are the top 5 beauty concepts to steal this winter…
1. Plum and raspberry pouts were the order of the day at Carolina Herrera and Marchesa, along with a flawless base and minimal blush. The slicked back, wet-look hair and subtle sparkle on the eyelashes kept it fresh at Carolina Herrera, while 1920s style loosely waved up-dos at Marchesa created a classic look.

2. Winged eyeliner was the centrepiece at Oscar De La Renta, against a nude palette for the face. Paired with slicked back hair and clothes that mean business, this is the perfect way to mix up your day-to-day look. Or, up the ante and pair with big bouffant hair a la Badgley Mischka for extravagant vintage glamour.
And coming in third – the easiest to achieve…

Gosh that eyeliner is perfection. I can not do that on myself
I’m not sure about those snowflakes on the lashes – wouldn’t look right around here becasue it’s too warm.
Ha ha ha…. that was a bit of a wildcard! Great pick up!
Lots of good looks!
Pretty and achievable – except maybe for the snowflakes on lashes!
These are much better than the clothes trends. Like them all, though maybe not the winged eyeliner.
Thanks for your thoughts BellaB, agree the clothes trends are not going to be for everyone this season. At the end of the day, we ought to all just wear what we feel best in.
LOVE IT!
Thanks stels!
I like the easy hair styles.
Practical certainly is the order of the day for most people whatthe! 🙂
