Whittle away all excessive paraphernalia because it’s time to embrace the mini bag trend. After years of trendy, back-breaking, oversized bags, we are seeing the continued domination of mini bags across runways and streets, and this is set to continue for Autumn/Winter 2016.

Virtually all the major designers including Fendi, Chanel, Balenciaga, Alexander Wang and Celine have released adorable doll-size versions of their classic bags over recent seasons, so we’re seeing the mini bag trend extend across many different shapes and sizes.
There are hand-helds at Hermes and Fendi, bucket bags at Mansur Gavriel and Mulberry, and satchels and cross-bodies at Phillip Lim and Chloe. Some labels have created completely new designs with miniaturised proportions, which are sure to fly off the shelves as the desire for sophisticated baby bags intensifies.
I’m loving the mini bag trend. It’s an easy way to smarten up a casual look, and they’re so much more party-ready than that oversize carry-all we take to the office!
