Netting and tulle dominated the collections of the formal wear designers in the Mercedes-Benz group show at MBFF Brisbane last night. Renowned Queensland couture designer George Wu wowed the audience with his collection of sleek and elegant monochrome gowns and Jack Sullivan‘s first foray into formal wear design was a huge success.
Chetcuti‘s collection was a mix of extravagance and over the top detail, probably best reserved for the most confident and daring dressers.
Talulah showed a stunning array of dress and skirt and top combinations but you could be forgiven for not realising it was a spring/summer collection due the dark colour palate.
Some great menswear was on show from Pistols at Dawn and Urbbana who closed the show. Slim fitting pants are an obvious trend for the men this season.
