California-based jewelry brand LUV AJ presents its latest collection, available online at our favourite e-boutique The Dark Horse Jewellery, titled “Pray for Surf”.
According to Australian born designer Amanda her inspiration for the collection was an homas to her Australian roots and the nations love and fear of sharks. Tales of Great Whites from her youth in South Australia inspired the sharks teeth motif that runs throughout the collection. Says Amanda of the motif, “always loved the shape, they are sharp and pointy and are so organic looking”.
According to Amanda the Luv Aj girl is, “one part feminine and one part bad-ass”. The references are clear- in the femininity of the fine jewellery and the edgyness of the sharks teeth. Sign me up!
