Three of Something is one of my favourite emerging Australian labels to date.
Rebecca Carmody, Jane Kidston and Bree Hay-Hendry are the magic number behind the label. Three creative forces that share an inspired vision of an aesthetic that is clean and modern, wearable and effortless, yet totally unique.
The best thing about the label is its accessibility. Not all chic outfits need to cost a months rent.
We teamed up with Three Of Something to shoot their latest collection, which is a beautiful myriad of textures, prints, knits and unusual silhouettes that are both feminine and flattering.
Three Of Something really gave me free reign to interpret the collection as I wanted. I immediately began to see an oriental influence in the prints, but a very modern take in modified fit and flare skirts, knits, and hemlines. Cutouts provided interesting texture and detailing on sleeves, and the use of rich hues of gold were contrasted against blacks, reds with blues, oranges with pinks.
We asked Nicole of Confident Liar (whom I rave about constantly), to star in the shoot- isn’t she just perfect!
Because the collection really does have an oriental feel, I wanted to steer away from the literal and take a modern approach by hitting the backstreets of Surry Hills with Nicole’s camera in hand.
Check out the collection below, and the collection will be hitting Three Of Something shortly!
