Skirts, in all of their various incarnations are being seen everywhere in fashion at the moment and for good reason. From pencil to midi, mini to full, and everything in between, skirts are THE quickest and easiest way to achieving a beautiful, womanly look. Who doesn’t want to stand apart from the men occasionally by donning a figure-hugging, or free-flowing skirt, rather than just the usual pants or jeans?
My ultimate source of inspiration for skirts has come via the way of Nicole Warne, of the ultra-beautiful blog ‘Gary Pepper’. Nicole is almost exclusively photographed wearing skirts and dresses, her favourites being the fuller 1950’s look, but she pulls off all shapes and styles effortlessly.
In my quest to replicate Nicole’s beautiful skirt-wearing look, I came upon some great skirts online from Metalicus which I’ve included below:

This is a great longer pencil skirt which is right on-trend by incorporating stripes. Best worn with a high heel or bootie to elongate the look.

This is an updated take an a classic pencil skirt, featuring a unique “twist” at the hem. A knee-length pencil skirt could b worn with simple flat shoes or ballerina slippers in a contrasting colour for added quirk.

I LOVE a full skirt, and this one is very Audrey Hepburn! Wear with a fitted white t-shirt, or cropped sweater, the wearability is endless.

This peplum skirt has pin-up written all over it! Perfect for weekday workwear or date night. Heels and red lipstick are a must!
