My favourite way to wear ankle boots is whichever way it makes my legs look longer and leaner, so that means with leggings (leather or ponte), or with narrow-legged jeans rolled up. Ankle boots + boyfriend jeans are another popular combination that you’ll be seeing plenty of again this winter.

If you’re worried about the ankle boot “chopping off your foot” or making you look shorter, don’t be. Simply wear an ankle boot that is the same colour as your pants (black, grey, tan are obvious choices) and opt for a style with a block heel, rather than one that is completely flat. Opting for a boot with a (deceivingly height-assisting) block heel is also very comfortable. It’s more versatile overall, I’d highly recommend it!
