There are a few unusual things about visiting The Clinic. No, it’s not the discreet office tower location or the fact they run to schedule! (Although both are true.) Nor is it the fact The Clinic is literally on speed dial with the who’s-who of the Aussie TV / media / celebrity and fashion worlds… (although that is true as well!) Want to know? Read on to find out…
Discreetly (yet conveniently) tucked away in Sydney’s Bondi Junction, The Clinic is a luxury cosmeceutical clinic where you go for a no-nonsense, holistic approach to skincare and beauty.
Founded by two trained nurses with a passion for aesthetics in 1999, The Clinic actually began as a laser hair removal destination. Casting an experienced eye over developments in the cosmetic industry in the years that followed, the ladies methodically introduced new results-driven treatments for their growing clientele. Skip to 2014, and their comprehensive menu of specialisations includes everything to make a woman look and feel her best without surgery or drastic intervention.

With so many years of accumulated experience, Kaye and Lisa tackle ageing, sun damage, uneven skin tone, sagging and wrinkles so skilfully that they have become leaders in the field of cosmetic beauty, and are often the first point of call when beauty editors need an opinion or a quote on all things beauty and anti-ageing.
With a basis in medicine, The Clinic’s approach is unusual in that it is firmly built around trust and a genuine desire to help their “patients” look their best via proper skin health. (And yes, they refer to you as a “patient” not a “customer”!) During my consultation with both Kaye and Lisa, it was instantly obvious that I was in the hands of an experienced, medically-trained professional who knew exactly what they were talking about. Most admirably, the ladies will not hesitate to let you know if a treatment you had in mind is not right for you. (Sadly, this is not a common approach in the overly ruthless, sales-oriented cosmetic industry.)

In accordance with their philosophy, and believing that “wrinkles do not age the face, the condition of the skin does” the ladies at The Clinic are not super-quick to whip out needles. Granted, a full suite of injectables such as anti-wrinkle and fillers are offered, but Kaye and Lisa prefer to look at tailored solutions for patients that may involve consultation with the in-house doctor, Dr. Carolyn Lechowicz.
A patient may be prescribed a combination of things to address concerns, from a change of lifestyle to a complete treatment plan that’s geared at improving both the skin’s appearance and overall health. Non-surgical treatments such as medical grade peels, Fraxel re:store dual, IPL and Laser are then employed to achieve rapid and visible results.
After 15 years of treating skin conditions and thousands of patients later, Kaye and Lisa decided to launch their very own “hero” skincare product – an ultimate moisturiser, aptly named, ‘The Moisturiser’. This medium-weight day and night product has been designed to simplify people’s beauty regimes by replacing the myriad of serums and creams some were using. They created The Moisturiser to be suitable for all skin types while standing by their philosophy of providing paraben and preservative free skincare.
The Moisturiser features: Sea Buckthorn for reducing redness, hydrating and protecting the skin; Plant Stem Cells for strengthening collagen fibres and improving skin texture; and Peptides for tightening, firming and improving skin tone. The Moisturiser has already proven a winner with celebrity clients and regular folk alike, with Aussie It-Girl Pip Edwards, Emma Freedman and a slew of others all singing the product’s praises (FYI I have used it too – it is great!)
