Last weekend, 3 friends and I hired a car for the day, and drove north east.
This was my first sojourn out of New York City going upstate since I’ve lived here – and I can’t believe I haven’t done it sooner!
What a glorious way to spend a beautiful autumn day. We had been told that the upstate antique shops were something of their own kind, and they weren’t wrong.
We took the scenic road heading up towards Rhode Island, and dotted all along the road, in clusters as you approach each new town, are antique shops galore!
Apparently this is a frequented route that many a seasoned antiquer makes…and let me tell you, what a way to find some great hidden gems.
As you know, I am in interior-obsession land (still!) so I managed to nab some wonderful pieces to continue filling my home with.
Here are some quaint images from some of the stores we enjoyed (and my friend Laura, playing in the leaves!)
