Carolina Herrera’s Ode To Pretty – NYFW Spring 2016

BY: VANESSA ROBERTS

Futuristic fabrics mingled with good ol’ fashioned gorgeousness sums up Carolina Herrera’s stunning show at NYFW this week.

Featuring broad modernist pleats, filmy gauzes and sporty meshes Carolina proved that she’s a thoroughly contemporary designer.

Entering what she herself described to Vogue.com as her “rose period” the show featured a preponderance of pinks, ranging from peony-pastels to salmon, rose, blush and watermelon.

A bold monochromatic two-piece ensemble and a stunning navy mini dress provided punctuation to the rosy offering.

Models skin was flawless all over, with natural makeup and loose unstructured hair completing the look.

This makes me so excited for warm weather. (Not that I needed any other need to be be excited in the face of thawing out).
