I essentially devour novels. I think I picked up my first book at around 2 years old, which happened to be Spot The Dog, a classic.
Hereafter my obsession with both books (and animals) truly begun. My fondest memories of childhood are sitting in my parents bed with my mum and dad as they read first The Hobbit and then The Lord Of The Rings to me. Since then, my love of books have known no bounds. I have devised methods to read in the shower (don’t judge!), I read on the bus, in cabs, between meetings and before bed.
I have to, on some occasions apologize for what could be construed as snobbery. Book snobbery. For never will these eyes read E.L James’ erotic musings, nor will they shed tears for the love between Bella and Edward (I’m sad I know that much). What can I say, I like what I like!
This week I am getting my teeth sunk into Stephen Fry’s autobiography, The Fry Chronicles.
Fry has become a fast idol of mine, from earlier on as QI’s witty and charming host, to his appearances in Sherlock Holmes,Alice in Wonderland and Bones to his much anticipated (by me) role in The Lord Of The Rings.
He is openly gay, has been diagnosed as a bipolar, spend 3 months in prison and achieved a scholarship to Cambridge, all before forging his career in the entertainment industry. A remarkable man by all accounts. The book is definitely worth a read, and two chapters in you will be speaking as flamboyantly and verbosely as Mr. Fry himself.
What books are you all reading right now? Would love some suggestions for my next read!

Not really a fan of Mr Fry
I love Stephen Fry as an actor, especially at the lawyer in Kingdom, and at the shrink in Bones. I didn’t know he was writing an autobiography, but now that I do I will be sure to read The Fry Chronicles.
I love Stephen Fry! I’ve just finished reading another of his autobiographies, called ‘Moab is my Washpot’, and I’d definitely recommend it!
I’m reading The Fry Chronicles too & absolutely adore his style of writing! He’s such a true wordsmith. <3
The picture is very arty!
One I have recently read is “The Book Thief”. Brilliant book.
Reading is always good!
The photo just wow…
Or for intelligent but fun fiction, “The Rook” by Daniel O’Malley.
Try a biography of Dorothy Parker. Fascinating woman. My books are in storage or I’d give you a title/author.
Love books. All books.
Interesting…….
