One of my favourite trends to make a reemergence in the last few months along with references to Fifties fashion is homage to the costume jewellery that took the fashion world by storm at that time.
Why? We have had a long period of drought from statement earrings, and now, there are a huge array of gigantic, glamorous creations that elevate the simplest of outfits.
A classic white tee and jeans is instantly chic with a touch of rhinestone sparkle and a burst of colour, as seen on the international runways over the past year. Drop earrings, in my opinion, are also infinitely flattering to the face, and perhaps part of it is that like donning a special dress, they make you feel something out of the ordinary.
If you are worried about those drooping earlobes that you can see from time to time, there are plenty of clasp earrings on the market (some below) to save your ears the work!
