Trend How-To: Pastels

As we sadly say goodbye to the warm, summer months and welcome the cold, winter days, this doesn’t mean we have to start wearing the dull colours we’ve buried in the back of our wardrobes.

Vibrant, neon hues like orange, yellow and pink were a huge trend through out summer, now fresh, pastel colours like mint, baby pink and lavender are making their way into winter fashion.

Designers like Louis Vuitton, Phillip Lim, Givenchy and Calvin Klein have introduced these soft, sorbet shades through their S/S 2012 collections.

Many on-trend celebrities like Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have embraced the pastel pallete by incorporating it into both their casual, day-to-day style and their red carpet style.

So instead of just wearing drab tones like black and grey this winter, try adding some cute, pastel colours to brighten up your look.
