Trend How-To: Gatsby

With all the hype around the release of The Great Gatsby, and snaps of Carey Mulligan looking ever so chic on set it is no surprise that the 21st Century Gatsby look is taking the fashion world by storm.

Drop waists, beading and pearls, ladylike midi lengths, lace and classic heels are all pieces to nab.

To avoid looking too matronly, add something modern in a hint of neon or digital prints.

Shop our picks below and take some inspiration from some behind the scenes shots of Carey Mulligan on set.

Never been fan of the dropped waist, it’s not for he hourglass figure but it’s still comes off as slinky and feminine so very good for slender, apple and oblong figures.
