Trend How-To: Detachable Collars

Nothing makes me more fashion conscious than making sure I don’t wear the same shirt over and over, especially to the dismay of my very stylish girlfriends. But I have found a little saving grace – detachable collars.

This new trend that was a hit on the runway is now popping up in many fashion stores. It’s the easiest way to update an outfit and give it some edge. What’s even better is that it comes at the fraction of the price of buying a new wardrobe.

Give a white shirt a pop of colour, or vamp up a little black dress with a metallic collar necklace. My personal favourites are the embellished and beaded collars you can find on Etsy and Asos. The best way to wear these collars is with a high neck top so that it looks like its part of the outfit. This is definitely one fashion secret that will have you looking stylish whilst saving you $$$.
