#4 – Kittyhawk – (Phillip Lane, CBD)
The team behind Lobo Plantation, one of Sydney’s best cocktail bars, brings to you their most recent venue, Kittyhawk – a bar and restaurant heavily inspired by Parisian life in the 1940s.
Kittyhawk’s co-owner and director, Jared Merlino, states that the idea for the bar was drawn directly from Liberation day, in which Paris was reclaimed during World War Two.
The wartime theme is hard to miss in all aspects of the restaurant and bar, with the khaki and green olive décor also consisting of leather booths and over-sized elegant doors. It might not be the sophisticated and classy vibe that we know Paris to have today, but it does do a pretty good job at transporting you back into a more historical theme of the city!
