Clinique, a.k.a. the Skin Care Gods have just launched a revolutionary concealer that leads a double duty lifestyle. It’s a spin-off from their bestselling serum ‘Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector’ and their new product masquerades as a high-tech, kind-to-skin concealer that also uses Vitamin C to improve radiance in the skin.
Luxe, luxe, luxe! I have an odd affinity to glass packaging. In particular, frosty heavy-weight glass. It’s probably why I get shoulder pain from lugging this kind of stuff in my handbag. It always exudes a sense of exceptional quality and this concealer is no different. I love the brushed chrome lid that screws on tightly, leaving the product securely airtight to prevent it from drying. And the cute glass pot is functional, durable and reminds me of the packaging from M.A.C’s Studio Sculpt concealer.
PRODUCT AND APPLICATION
I am wearing the shade ‘Hazelnut’. As you can see, I have a combination of freckles, under-eye circles, redness, pigmentation and light acne scarring. I applied the product straight from the tub with my fingers, and it had a dreamy, smooth consistency that instantly melted into my skin. It blended easily, leaving a flawless finish that was both moisturizing and long wearing. I didn’t need to build up the concealer at all, as a light layer was sufficient for opaque coverage.
A brilliant concealer to hid those pesky skin flaws. It’s hypoallergenic for sensitive skins (eczema and rosacea sufferers unite!) and it comes in a selection of 12 shades to suit anyone with pale, porcelain complexions all the way to deep, tanned mocha tones.
PURCHASE AGAIN? Certainly, this product gives M.A.C (my holy grail brand for concealers) a run for its money.
