Benefitโs Dandelion can be described as a soft ballerina pink shade, with extremely fine silver glitters. This Benefit finishing powder comes complete with brush applicator and tray. The newest packaging released has the the addition of a mirror and flip top lid – all in the name of convenience. This lovely product will complement those with fairer complexions and act as a dewy all over finishing powder for those with medium skin tones.
DESCRIPTION:
The product itself is a softly milled powder set deep within a small cardboard box, described as being- โfinely spun with delicate mauves and pinks, this exquisite brightening face powder leaves a petal like finish.โ In my opinion, Benefit has summarised this subtle face powder well, one more thing to add is when one opens the box a fresh floral scent with hints of sweet citrus tones can be smelt, but for those who dislike scented makeup do not be afraid to purchase as once applied this fragrance does not linger around for too long!
USE:
One can actually use this product in a number of ways. From my personal experience, for usage as a blush I do prefer placing foundation or a cream blush prior to application, this just helps bring out the baby pink colour of Dandelion and helps prolong its wear! For use all over, a soft โskin glowing from withinโ effect is easily achieved using a large fluffy brush and applying how you would any powder compact.
PACKAGING:
Packaging wise some may find Benefitโs signature box oโ powders are a tad too bulky to be carried in a ladyโs everyday cosmetics case, but it is unique โ not to mention the designs are way too cute to resist, so though it may stay at home it can always be considered a collectorโs item (I personally already own four box powders!). Reviewing the brush applicator, it is a little pokey and thus I am not a huge fan; however, I never seem to ever be satisfied with such applicators contained in any products, and I do give Benefit credit for their thoughtfulness to include it.
PRICE:
In terms of the price point, I did purchase this powder for a little over $50AUD at the Benefit counter in Myer- though this may be a bit pricey the amount of product you get is 0.25oz/7g which is a bit more when compared to other products of the same form. I donโt seem to have even scratched off the surface of mine, so I say this product will last a very long time! You can shop it online and Benefit.com here.
RECOMMENDATON:
All in all I do recommend this product, I will give it an 8/10- two points taken off as it does not show up well on those with darker complexions, which is a true shame! In saying that Benefit does offer a considerable range of blushes of higher pigmentation to suit all needs!
