Product Review: Asyana Spray Tan

Tanning is always dangerous territory for anyone, especially during winter. The risks are high- orangey face, streaky legs or patchiness are just some of the pitfalls you can encounter. Enter your savior, Asyana‘s Natural Sunless Tan.

For me, I am always very wary, however there are many upsides to getting a spray tan. It is flattering, gives you a healthy glow and is infinitely better than baking your skin in the searing sun and risking skin cancer.

I prepped, moisturized and exfoliated like crazy before my session to ensure the tan lasted as long as possible. The results were instantaneous as I stepped out of the mobile tanning booth that Maggy from Tan Republic brought over to our apartment. Not only did it dry very quickly,  my skin felt hydrated and not at all sticky.

I slept with it on through the night, and it had developed into a deep bronze. After having a shower, the colour was totally perfect for my skin tone and did not look unnatural at all! Plus, no brown residue on my sheets which is always annoying when you tan.

The colour is definitely more of a bronze/olive brown and certainly not yellow at all. Maggy was meticulous with even coverage- which is one of the most important things to me. I used a medium strength shade, but its all about the application rather than the formula, so Maggy applied a lighter coat than usual (I was seriously stressing about looking like Snooki).

There are so many different skin types, especially when it comes to tanning so I can’t vouch for everyone, but if you are like me and love a natural, light to medium spray tan that lasts for around 7 days (mine is coming up to 7 days now and is still pretty good because I am also using Asyana’s Tan Extender) then this is definitely for you.

You can get in touch with Asyana to buy the product for yourself or check which salon’s near you use their product.

BWA has put me onto their Bronze Tanning Lotion and although it look scary (like spiralina) any mistakes can be wiped of with a wet cloth and won’t leave marks and the end result is a very natural long lasting tan that doesn’t get all over my sheets. Love it!

it’s very subtle but that’s the beauty of it. hate when the tan ends up too many shades darker.

Never knew you could get them to go to your house. Will try Asyana once summer is back. Only been once to salon to get it done and it was horrible.
