We’ve just witnessed fashion’s night of nights – The Met Gala. This annual black-tie fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute never fails to disappoint. This year’s theme celebrates the work of Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo, known for oversized, structured and boldly-shaped pieces.
A tricky theme to be sure – even the mere idea of “avant garde” would have the average celeb running a mile if it weren’t for the prestige of the Met Gala! So, admittedly – there were plenty of “misses” to be seen, but we absolutely love the ten looks below we’re calling HITS (we’ll turn a blind eye to the fact they’re not all strictly on-theme…)
