Manning Cartell brings us Fate & Chance for SS 2013/14 for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, a collection full of drama.
The aesthetic draws inspiration from symbols of love, hate, youth and age, dream and reality, and Fate & Chance.
The crisp and structured tailoring that we have seen in seasons past from Manning is back again with a sleek, sculptured feel. Minimalist, futuristic and clean are words that come to mind when viewing the pieces for the first time.
Use of sheer, netting and lace add a femininity and romance to a modern aesthetic, and layering added a richness and unique point of view that stood the collection apart from many.
Set in an industrial paradise complete with abandoned trains and giant chains looming down from the ceiling, the setting added to the futuristic-classic aesthetic.
