Just yesterday Michael Lo Sordo told BWA that, “The MLS girl is strong and sensual with a feminine touch. She really knows what she wants both in fashion and in life.” So it comes as no surprise that Nigel Stanislaus’s beauty interpretation for the MBFWA show embodies exactly that.
The makeup director of Maybelline NY says the look “Transcends androgyny through the definitive energy of this collection and promotes youth, adventure and promise. Cheeks are flushed over an innocent skin finish and lips enjoy a strong focus that is telling of a woman coming of age.
Nigel also says that to give the look a modern edge, “We then added triangles to pay homage to Michael’s collection – using the same colour featured in the clothes. I used a stencil and sponged on eye shadow, so every girl has the same triangle.”
You can get the same glow at home by starting with a good base, like Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream. Keep it soft by leaving bottom lashes bare and not over-applying mascara on your top lashes. Dab a lightly coloured lip gloss on your eyelids for a little luminosity.
