Maticevski SS 2012/13 At MBFWA

If Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks from Mad Man fame) were to pick one designer from MBFWA to wear, it would undoubtedly be Maticevski. A designer whose maturity is far beyond his years, the runway was cohesive, effortless and everything that is old Hollywood glam.

A simple beehive styled elegantly gave dimension and Napoleon’s crack team of artists created a bold brow that gave the girls a character uniquely Maticevski.

The look was inspired by the idea of a modern day Nefertiti, old hollywood royalty like Sophia Loren.

The star of the look was the brow which had a dramatic flick, elongating the face along with the hair. Intensity was added to the eyes, and the skin was creamy and luxe. To pare this look back for everyday wear, remove the flick and gently blend strength into the arch of your brow to create drama.

The show itself featured an array of beautiful, feminine silhouettes that transcend age or style preferences. Touches of sheer and mesh add edge to traditionally cut cocktail dresses, and perfect peplum flatters the form. Splashes of neon and print kept the collection on trend.

These are those dresses that make you yearn for a special occasion when its appropriate to dress up and feel like a million bucks.

So elegant! The eyebrows are like any ‘stage’ make-up- it’s exaggerated. I love the look!

Mustache eyebrows? I’m sorry I’m really not a fan of Napoleon Perdis.
