As you know, from years of professing our love, we are long time fans of Minty Meets Munt. The creative mind behind the brand, Ingrid Epitro, has drawn inspiration from two of the most jubilant and exciting eras of fashion- the sixties and the eighties.
As you flick through the collection, references to both are very clear, but not too literal. Nods to the mod shift dress are very clear, and the femininity of the collection shines through. A lovely, warm cocoon coat is definitely one of the highlights for me, possibly because I am sitting here writing this with the sound of rain beating down on our roof.
The femininity and sweetness of the sixties-esque pieces are in stark contrast to the second half of the collection, which draws much of its aesthetic from the bold and brave moments from the eighties.
Again though, the inspiration is not a literal remaking but a modern revamp, clear in the neon pink, ultra violet and hot lime colour palette. Which is both bold, yet on trend for the Winter season.
Key pieces from this collection have to be the one-shouldered Marching Order dress and sexy cut out detailing.
If you haven’t heard already, we are giving away a delicious Minty Meets Munt outfit to one lucky reader to celebrate the Minty Meets Munt store in Sydney! After making a name for themselves on Crown St for the last five years, Minty Meets Munt has taken the leap to Paddington to launch their beautiful, new and shiny concept stort which only stocks MMM clothing and accessories.
This beautiful Winter 13 collection has JUST arrived in store and online at MInty Meets Munt.
