We have waxed lyrical about LIFEwithBIRD over the last few years, but for good reason, as the Nicholas and Bridget, the duo behind the label, present season after season of well thought out, beautifully crafted collections.
No less than this can be said for Autumn Winter 2013 Wild Species Dark Love which as the name suggests, has a mysterious allure to it that encapsulates the LIFEwithBIRD woman.
As always, the labels aesthetic centers around a reference to balance. For Autumn Winter 2013 a broad range of silhouettes mean that the pieces are even more versatile as ensembles or as stand alone pieces that fit into our existing wardrobes.
The designers have played with drapery and twisting, creating exciting movement in pieces that area perfect mix between sportswear and evening, further emphasised by their intelligent use of textiles to create a luxe collection. Use of natural fibers like silks and cottons work seamlessly beside nylons and tri -cetates to create body and depth.
A LIFEwithBIRD collection would not be complete without a strong print, and this seasons are Caterpillar which is a digital watercolour print using purples and greens, Botanical which is a darker, more abstract floral print, and Florence which is a delightful kaleidoscopic print in a multitude of colours.
