Friend of Mine’s Autumn 2013 collection 15 Minutes is a modern take on Andy Warhol’s famous phrase ‘fifteen minutes of fame’.
Designer Teale Talbot has teamed up again with Alexandra Spencer (of 4th and Bleeker) to shoot the latest campaign, whose talents encompass blogging, modelling, and photography.
The shots are raw and sensual, set in a light filled studio in LA- Talbot and Spencer reference Warhol’s New York studio The Factory as inspiration, exuding a perfect synergy between industrial hard edge and softened modernity, perfectly encapsulating what the labels aesthetic is all about.
The gorgeous Rachel Russell fronts the campaign and is the perfect “Friend of Mine envisaged Edie for 2013”.
The collection is tongue-in-cheek, full of irreverent slogans, re-purposing newspaper headlines, band t-shirts, and commonly misheard song lyrics.
As always, there is a strong sensual element to the collection, in revealing leather overalls, backless pieces and sheer looks.Leopard printed calf skin, sheer snakeskin silks, stone washed denim and spherical hand beading add depth to modern fitted forms.
Check out the campaign shot below, and let us know what you think!

I’m a big fan. love these pieces
Don’t like the Mick Jagger top. The rest are ok.
interesting 🙂
I like slim models to be slim but that’s what I call skinny. If she’s naturally thataway then good for her but gee I hope so for her sake. Her hair doesn’t look healthy and that can often be a ‘sign’ too.
the hamburger shirt is a bit ironic on this model…..
