We are full steam ahead into the heart of the cold season (Winter is coming y’all). With that in mind, I always look for ways to breathe some brightness into my life in the colder months.
It’s easy to fall into a habit of wearing blacks and greys to reflect the climate, but wearing colour can make a remarkable difference to your mood and that of those around you!
There are some key colours shining through for the months ahead, so we have brought you our top colours to shop for your wardrobes this season.
Oxblood
Oxblood is one of those deliciously rich colours that adds vibrancy to an outfit without being over powering. This colour is particularly beautiful in leather pieces like a statement pair of winter boots or a leather jacket.
Bec & Bridge, Jason Wu, Saint Laurent.
White
I have already spoken about how much I love white on white outfits for any season- they are crisp, clean and seem to glow set against dreary backdrops. Definitely not the right choice for a die hard red wine drinker though!
Bec and Bridge, Camilla and Marc, Ginger and Smart.
Burnt Orange
Burnt orange is back again for another season, giving a lively, upbeat, dynamic, vibe to Autumn/Winter.
Phillip Lim, Richard Nicoll, Zac Posen.
Baby Blue
This shade of blue is totally unexpected and simply beautiful. We like it toughened up with statement, strong pieces like a leather jacket, or totally feminine in a flowing ballgown.
Sonia Rykel, Ellery and Michael Lo Sordo.
Canary Yellow
This colour is not for the faint of heart, but for the bold, confident woman who wants to sing through her clothes. Yellow brings such a happy warmth to the eyes, and is the perfect colour to cheer yourself up in the colder months!
Camilla and Marc, Sass and Bide, Zac Posen
Pastel Pink
Pastel pink can seem a little cliched for the modern woman, but with the re-emergence of period style dressing and ultra feminine looks on the runway, pastels and pinks seem a natural progression. Beautiful, feminine and delicate, this colour lends itself to so many outfit choices!
Jil Sander, Ginger and Smart, Aje.

Burnt orange is definitely for me. Have a few pieces of this colour already in my wardrobe so I’m already on trend for once.
