Today I come bringing you big news, a little bit different to the usual news we bring you that addresses an issue I believe we have all have had gripes with over the years. Inflated Australian cosmetic prices.
As many of you know, we Aussie ladies and gents are subject to beauty prices that can soar from 20-200% more than the recommended retail prices in the UK and USA. Things are set to change with indie beauty brand Illamasqua, who have recently decided that this has gone on for too long and have begun campaigning for fair beauty prices in Australia.

Unless i walk into a store and see it, want it, must have it now product i order nearly all my beauty from America as its so much cheaper. Nearly 70% more so than here in Australia. I have signed the petition and will be passing it on to all my friends.

Agreed! I think the tax on these products is too much and of course we will buy online overseas if the prices were more competitive here. The same applies to electronics, books… the list goes on.

This is a great campaign and I hope we get some good outcomes. We have been ripped off for too long. But I hope it’s more than just a marketing strategy from Illamasqua because I don’t understand why we have to ‘commit to buying their products’. Can someone explain?
I think it’s to prove to other brands that if there’s a cheaper option, you’ll go for it, and stop shopping with other brands
