How To Wear Boots Through The Seasons

Boots are just for winter, right? Wrong. Boots can be your ultimate fashion tool, worn year around, from summer to winter and every season in between. Don’t believe me? Read on and make your boots your best friend!

#1 – Tall Boots

Tall boots without a heel tend to be made for the cooler months. Wear them over pants or with stockings and a dress to keep you warm in winter and fashionable in autumn.

When the sun comes out, tall boots should go to the back of the wardrobe. If you’re looking to buy shoes online, the warmer months are the best time to buy though, because tall boots tend to be on sale!

Check out all the styles you’ve been loving last season and when the next winter rolls around you’ll be thrilled to find your never-worn-purchases waiting for you!

#2 – High Heeled Tall Boots

Dress up any outfit with high-heeled boots. High heeled women’s boots look great with a suit for a corporate look during the day. These babies can be worn in winter, autumn and spring, because nights can still generally get cool, so boots won’t look out of place. In summer months, go for high heel shoes instead!

#3 – Over The Knee Boots

The only time it’s ok to wear mini skirts with tall boots is when they’re so tall that they’re thigh high boots! This will make you look more Milan-fashion-week-glam, and less street walker. Stockings or no stockings, it’s your choice. Again, this look takes you throughout the seasons, from thick tights with a woolen mini skirt in winter to a denim mini in summer.

#4 – Ankle Boots

Ankle boots are a girl’s best friend! They look amazing with pants, can be paired with a skirt of any length and can dress up skinny jeans. Some people find tall boots difficult to find because of calf size, but ankle boots are great as work boots and can work all year round and match any leg shape.

#5 – Flat Equestrian boots

These boots are all about a refinement – that perfectly kempt look, with long flowing hair and autumn leaves. This look is less versatile and does seem out of place in the warmer months. Still, you can shop women’s leather boots in Australia and find some stunning pairs to add to your wardrobe.

#6 – Slouched boots

Again, these are perfect for people that are conscious of their calf size. They work well with pants tucked and are flattering with skirts. Year-round bliss! I see ankle boots are trending this season but knee high boots with block heels will always be my favourite. Eg tucking jeans into white knee high boots with 1-2-3 inch heel always looks nice, even wearing those jeans over the knee high boots looks stunning when sitting down at coffee and the jean leg rises up the boot.Clearly ankle boots don’t cut it. Even when it rains knee high boots protect your legs keeping them warm and dry.

As long as you keep your skirt or dress a light material and of course don’t wear pantyhose you can get away with wearing boots in summer. Just make sure you apply an extra moisture absorbing powder to your feet e.g. Crash family powder and wear a thin pair of short COTTON socks you will be fine.
