Guest Editor Product Review: Make Up Store Eye Dust

Make Up Store eye dusts are amazing!! Like all Make Up Store products, the packaging is sleek and professional.

The Eye Dusts is a range of highly pigmented loose shadows with an iridescent shimmer. The Make Up Store holds a large range of different shades – from royal blues to 24k golds to fluorescent pinks.

First impression of this product

The packaging is sleek like all other products within the brand. The compact packaging makes the product travel friendly and great for professional make up artists. The greatest thing about the packaging is that when you open up the compact, there is another secret compartment made to make this product spill-proof.

What I think?

Most packagings for loose eyeshadows are not well designed. You will typically notice a messy lid or table after application. However, this product really impressed it! The tight seal of the second compartment really holds the product together and stops it from spilling. When I swatched the pigment, I was again impressed – the fine glitters in the amazing shadow reminded me of a high end shadow I would have paid at least $50 for.

The greatest thing about this product however, is that you can control the pigmentation of the product.

• With a flat eyeshadow brush, you can easily pick up the loose shadows and pat the product on.
• With a fluffy blending eyeshadow brush, you can pick up very little product and brush the loose eyeshadow over your lid for a light wash of colour.
• With a wet eyeshadow brush, you can pick up the loose eyeshadow and pat the product on for a very heavy pigmentation.

The pictures really don’t do the shadows any justice.
