As much as I would like to be, I am not often a fan of Vegan or ethical clothing lines. The good intention is always there but the chic factor is often severely lacking.
Enter, Freedom of Animals, which is a gorgeous a new vegan brand out of NYC that has finally seen the need for chic, on trend Vegan pieces and perfected them.
The label has mastered a series of minimalist and totally covetable handbag that are practical, chic and ethical…no mean feat! Made entirely in the USA, the label was founded online last year in 2012 by a stylist and a photographer who had spend years traveling for both work and volunteering,Morgan Bogle and Scott MacDonough developed a label and a concept that is dedicated to the betterment of the environment and the people and animals in it.
The materials that they work with are all EPA approved sustainable and 100% vegan. The faux leather is comprised of recycled plastic that is woven with organic cotton and colored with vegetable based dyes which means that it looks and feels like leather without using harsh chemicals to achieve the effect.
The price point isn’t cheap- bags range from around $300-$450US but the point is to pay more for quality, ethically sourced pieces that will last you a lifetime.

Modern and simple, but very expensive
Simple designs.
i love that vegan fashion has come so far, why would you need to buy something sourced through cruelty when you have this quality!
The price is pretty high, but I would prefer to save and buy something ethical than buy something cheap that’s been made in unethical factories or hurting animals. xx
Nice bags.
Practical, chic and ethical .. love it!!!
The price point is high, but I guess not unattainable for an investment piece…
cool
