#4 – The Setting Should Compliment The Stone
Once you’ve selected the stone, it’s time to decide on a setting. Some stone shapes are predisposed to certain style of settings, for example, a round stone suits a delicate halo setting, whereas an emerald cut may look better with two stones on either side.
Pinterest is a great place to browse for inspiration when looking for ways to personalise the setting for your shape of stone. If you’re creative, you may be able to design a unique combination that your partner has not seen anywhere else! (Just be sure it suits her style as closely as possible, see point #1 above).
