Oatmeal Mask:
While it might sound retro, the scientifically proven anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties found in oatmeal make it a great choice for sensitised skin on the face and body. Colloidal oatmeal contains beta-glucans, carbohydrate molecules that stimulate collagen accumulation in the skin, as well as natural chemical compounds that cleanse and moisturise.
Simply pulse some quick oats in a food processor or blender to refine the texture and mix with water to create a paste that can be applied to face or body if you need some quick relief from dry, irritated skin.
Be careful not to rub the formula onto skin if you’re feeling especially stingy, and rinse of with lukewarm water. If you’re sensitive to gluten or intolerant, then use confirmed gluten-free oats for this mix.
