Christian Louboutin’s Cinderella Shoe

Most girls dream of their glass slipper moment, and IRL Christian Louboutin comes close to making that a reality.

In a homage to Cinderella and the films Diamond Edition release on Blu-ray this year, Christian Louboutin has designed a modern day version of the magical glass slipper.

The pumps were on display in Paris this week along with his sketches and stills from the film. The shoes are combine a beautiful white lace, with Swarovski crystals and butterflies.

“Cinderella is not only an iconic character when it comes to beauty, grace and fairytale love, but also shoes.” says Louboutin of the fairytale.

    To my mind they don’t look anything like how I would imagine the glass slippers to be, these look too childish and silly but with massive heels and squashed toes. They are not elegant at all – I can’t see Cinderella wearing those, she had more dignity and class.
