Chloe Sevigny, who is fashion’s ultimate anti it girl debuted her entire collaborative range with Opening Ceremony in New York.
Sevigny described the aesthetic of the collection as a contrast between light and dark “A lot of the collection plays with good and evil and dark and light and I saw them sort of shearing the white lamb which is the good lamb and they’d slayed the head of the dark lamb, like our inner conflict,” (Elle.com)
This is not Sevigny’s first foray into the realm of fashion design. She has several successful seasons of footwear collaborations with Opening Ceremony under her belt, so the move into apparel seems only logical.
Her aesthetic is very much of her own style, mixes street wear (thanks to Vision Streetwear, a third collaborator) with summer dresses and bold playsuits. A wearable first collection from this talented young woman, we foresee many more seasons to come.
