BWA’s Top Five Eyecreams

If you’re a student, a parent or basically anyone with a job or on the go constantly, you have probably had to deal with the dark circles, puffiness and lines that occur as a side effect of having a life. The skin around your eye area is among the most delicate on your entire body and it is also the place that suffers first, and the most, when you are taking less than perfect care of yourself. Thankfully we have a limitless number of creams to choose from, with many brands pumping out range after range of treatments for the eye area. Check out a few of them below.

1. Origins Gin-Zing Refreshing Eye Cream $45

This organic cream is described as a morning-after cream that instantly reduces dark circles, unsightly bags and puffiness. It is slowly developing a reputation in the beauty world as a cult product, with beauty gurus and professionals alike raving about the effectiveness of the product. Best for day-time use, this cream will have you looking refreshed and ready to face the day despite the fact that you may only be running on caffeine and two hours of sleep.

2. Dermalogica Intensive Repair Eye Cream $52

An intensive moisturising eye cream, this product is great for younger skin and for those who aren’t looking into anti-aging just yet. Your eye area often needs different treatment to the rest of your face and sometimes a basic moisturiser just won’t cut it. This cream is light and blendable but sinks in beautifully, giving your eye area the moisture boost it needs to prevent premature wrinkles- which are caused by tightness and dryness stretching the skin.

3. L’Occataine Immortelle Precious Eye Balm $56

For those looking to smooth out fine lines and tighten the eye area a little, this cream is for you. It stimulates collagen production within the skin to help keep it looking youthful and healthy. It is also by another brand that notes the value of natural skin-care so for those with sensitive skin this is a sure hit.

4. L’Oreal Revitalift Eye Cream $30.99

A tried and true classic, L’Oreal Revitalift is one of the best selling eye creams globally. At a more wallet-friendly price, it is sold nearly everywhere from Priceline to K-Mart to Coles. This cream is said to help fight wrinkles and help firm the skin. It is also infused with a unique technology that helps stimulate the skin’s eight natural lifters.

5. Clinique All About Eyes Cream $58

Speaking of tried and true classics, I don’t think we can even talk about eye care without mentioning this product. Clinique’s All About Eyes is perhaps the best known eye cream in the business. Hypoallergenic and multipurpose- reducing fine lines, dark circles and puffiness, it also doubles up as an eye makeup primer and day-to-night eye treatment, score!

Do you guys use eye creams, what are some of your favs? Or does your moisturiser double up as one? Let me know!

I use a Dr. Brandt one for heavy hitting the dark circles and puffiness but it’s pretty expensive, meaning I use it sparingly. I’d like to try the origins one for a more wallet friendly cream.
