Bright Young Things: Actress Jessica Grant

Here at BWA, there is nothing more exciting to us than talent on the rise- it speaks of innovation, newness, creativity, and an unsullied outlook on life.

Enter, our latest style crush, actress Jessica Grant whose petite frame and perfect features are just an external reflection of the down to earth, go-getter inside.

We shot Jess in our first official editorial (of many to come!) along with our fresh new site and chatted to her about life. The shoot is all about sports chic and sees some of the best on offer from some of Australia’s brightest labels!

Jessica is appearing in a number of short films and productions this year and we expect great things…so remember this face!

What drew you to the life of an actor?

As a child I always liked to imitate people, I used to think I could do a pretty killer Nelson Mandela accent! I guess I always enjoyed entertaining my friends and family and I absolutely loved playing charades! I was a very star struck kid, always idolising celebrities and also my parents used to take me to see a lot of theatre productions so I suppose those were all contributing factors.

What inspires you?

Meeting honest, kind and thoughtful people.

Your favourite cities in the world?

San francisco, Seattle, London and Johannesburg, but thats biased because that’s where I’m from.

Do you have any style icons?

I’m kind of loving Elizabeth Olsen’s choice if style, I don’t think i’ve seen one picture of her dressed badly.

What’s in your beauty bag?

First on the list is the essential stuff like my BHA exfoliant cream and a good sunblock. Also foundation, eyeshadow, a brown eye pencil and some mascara.

Lastly, if you could have breakfast with anyone in the world, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

Definitely my mom, although it sounds a bit corny, because she lives far away and all I wanna be able to do is call her up and go for breakfast!
