Behind The Scenes: L’Oreal Paris Runway 1

Yesterday saw the L’Oreal Paris Runway 1 presented by Vogue kick off festivities which saw pieces from AKIRA, Carla Zampatti, Josh Goot, Collette Dinnigan, Toni Matičevski, Scanlan & Theodore, and Willow.

With Barbara Palvin, Candice Lake, Megan Gale and Rachel Finch sitting front row, some of Australia’s best loved designers walk the runway.

Backstage, Makeup Director of L’Oreal Paris Rae Morris was the calm eye of the storm of activity. Rae is one of the most down to earth, personable people and I can’t wait to share our interview with her later this week.

Rae gave us some amazing tips to perfecting the look for Runway 1. The hero of this look is definitely the lips, 374 Intense Plum. Rae tells us that this is a colour to suit everyone, as it is neither hot nor cold, and it also makes your teeth look whiter.

My favourte tip from Rae to choosing lippy is to test it on your finger tip rather than the back of your hand. This is because your fingertip is the same texture as your lips rather than the back of your hand.

Rae also used the Lumi Magique primer, which if you haven’t tried- you must! I am totally addicted to it, it really makes your skin glow!
