Beauty Spotlight: The Ladies of Twilight

I cannot lie: I love Twilight. Love. It. Hard. I love the books, the movies, and find the hype surrounding the release of the final film, Breaking Dawn: Part Two, incredibly exciting.

And while I’m airing my dirty laundry, I should also tell you that I am devastated Big Brother is over and I never brush my hair. Wow, it felt good to get that out.

But I digress. This is the final installment of the Twilight franchise, and this particular red carpet event in LA was the first of the Breaking Dawn: Part Two premieres to see the entire cast together. Know what that means? The ladies of Twilight put their best six-inch heel forward and brought out the beauty big guns. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Kristen Stewart (aka “Bella”)

Smokey eyes, berry lips and wavy locks have been Kristen’s go-to style for a few months now. Yet she nails it every time. It just goes to show: if you find something that works for you, stick to it!

Ashley Greene (aka “Alice”)

For the most part, Ashley’s look is natural, with peach/lightly bronzed cheeks and rosy lips. She has played up her look by focusing on her eyes. Those lashes, oh those lashes!

 Nikki Reed (aka “Rosalie”)

Nikki is one of those women whose face structure means not a lot has to be done makeup-wise to achieve a dramatic look. Just like Ashley, Nikki has focussed on her eyes – specifically her eyelashes.

Dakota Fanning (aka “Jane”)

Our little Dakota has gone from blonde to brunette! Such a dramatic change in hair colour is seamless for people like my beloved Jennifer Lawrence; however for the rest of us it’s really tricky. Dakota has done an amazing job of letting the change speak for itself. Aside from the pretty berry lip stain, she has minimal makeup on.

Elizabeth Reaser (aka “Esme”)

Elizabeth’s beautiful, shiny hair, with its simple styling, wins in my books.  Again, she’s gone with the natural makeup look (I feel a trend coming on), but has even kept her eyes low-key, with not much more than liquid eyeliner.  What a stunner!
