Backstage, the mood was electric and the models alive as Michael Lo Sordo’s infective energy, spirit and passion for his work emanated throughout the entire team.
To keep up with the modern, futuristic feel of the collection the Redken, Essie and Maybelline Team created a look specific to the collection.
Nigel Stanislaus, Maybelline NY Makeup Director described the inspiration for the beauty look as “a modern twist on a smokey eye, I layered rose and copper golds to the inner eye to give the illusion of a sunset”.
The hair look created by Redken saw a futuristic wet-look style slicked back and fastened loosely at the nape of the neck. This is a key look to recreate at home for the upcoming season and something that when toned down from the runway can add a chic sophistication to your beauty repertoire.
One piece to keep your eyes on and get your feet into is Michael’s collaboration with Peeptoe shoes, which sees an on trend simple strap heel in two metallic shades that are simply irresistible.
